1. Tropical hurricanes<\/h2>\n

In the Indian Ocean, tropical cyclones are increasingly observed, which grow into powerful tropical storm systems.<\/p>\n

2. Sea level rise<\/h2>\n

Due to rising sea levels, a number of islands of the archipelago, which are atolls and have a small height, are faced with the destruction of the coastline and salinization of coastal agricultural plantations.<\/p>\n

The abundance of rainfall and favorable temperature conditions allow the cultivation of coconut palm and a number of other profitable crops, but the development of plantations has a downside – the loss of biodiversity.\u00a0Seychelles is a unique world of endemic nature, which is gradually disappearing with the development of agriculture.<\/p>\n

4. The death of coral reef<\/h2>\n

Some of the islands of this archipelago are of coral origin, that is, they are atolls.<\/p>\n

But today there is no trace of the past diversity and abundance of corals.\u00a0Due to excessive warming of coastal waters, corals have become discolored.\u00a0According to scientists, the islands have already lost 90% of the coastal reefs, and this is an impressive tragedy.<\/p>\n
