Josef Schulz is a photographer of Polish descent who has chosen a rather unusual niche for his work. The photographs of the 48-year-old man are mainly associated with man-made objects around the world. But his images are not so simple as they seem at first glance.

Using digital manipulations in various image editors, Joseph Schulz turns his photographs into familiar, but still otherworldly scenes. He transforms shots, removing typography from commercial signs and moving urban architecture from a cluttered environment to a bare background.

During his Übergang project, the photographer went on a long trip to Europe. He photographed abandoned military and national checkpoints. Then, in order to neutralize the original context of the images, Schultz slightly blurred the backgrounds of the pictures, which created the impression that the frames were taken in another era.

To get good photos of the Milky Way is a difficult task in itself, but the photographer Ricardo Gion decided not to limit himself only to this goal during a recent photo shoot. He intended to capture a clear image of the sky and bioluminescence in the water below. It took painstaking planning, a special technique and a thorough study of the theory, but as it turned out later, the results were worth it.

These pictures were taken in Canaune, a city on the south coast of Brazil. For several years, Gion heard about the phenomenon of bioluminescence from local residents, but could not catch him personally. Once he photographed the Milky Way and noticed that the water glows when dolphins begin to swim and play here. Since then, Ricardo was determined to capture this breathtaking picture.

The shooting required serious preparation: Gion had to make sure that at that time and at the point where he would be, he could definitely see how the water was shining. The effect of luminescence is given by special plankton algae. When they bloom, and the water begins to move, you can enjoy the incredible blue light coming from the depths.

Jacqueline Roberts was born in a freedom-loving and freethinking Paris at the very end of the turbulent 60s. At the university, they studied politics, and then worked for quite a long time in various international organizations. But at some point in her life, photography arose to completely change the lifestyle and occupation of the Frenchwoman. Today Roberts lives and works in Germany, she has a husband and three children.

Roberts works are a series of sincere and touching children’s portraits. She is a laureate of many prestigious competitions, and her photographs become the covers of magazines, books and music albums. However, the most amazing thing about Jacqueline Roberts is her professional methods. She is self-taught and always works with widescreen cameras, and her trick is film and early photographic techniques.

Jacqueline Roberts has the courage to popularize 19th century photography in the age of digital technology. The ancient technique of wet photographic plates, which a woman uses to get an image, enhances the psychological and emotional effect of the picture, making it unforgettable. This method was invented in the middle of the century before last and was also called collodion. He required a portable dark room and lots of complex knowledge and skills.
